SUSTAINABILITY AND GREEN DESIGN IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT.

PROVIDING SOPHISTICATED, ECOLOGICALLY SUSTAINABLE SPACES, WHILE ADHERING TO THE CORE PRINCIPALS OF LUXURY DESIGN.

With our current environmental and climate crisis, as progressive designers, we are compelled to not only reconsider traditional design ideas and focus on ways to use sustainable materials to reduce our carbon footprint, but also invest in the development of new methods and material applications.

Our team considers all eco-conscious options within the natural, existing architectural landscape and parameters of a project. From maximizing energy efficiency with the use of natural and/or LED lighting options, adequate insulation, water and waste management, to sourcing ethically and sustainably produced goods and/or raw materials, focused on local vendors and goods.

A durable, non-toxic, low maintenance environment and excellent air quality are our prime objectives in all residential and commercial settings. When featuring surface treatments, we utilize a mix of natural compounds and minerals with natural earth pigments and vegetable dyes for color. Providing our clients with peace of mind regarding the safety and resilience of their environment, as well as the health and comfort of the inhabitants in which to live, work, raise families, is paramount.

A major effort in this regard, was the creation of our in-house fabrication division, Master Architectural Fabrication. We developed a line of non-toxic, eco-friendly formulations for surface applications, which our studio personally installs. Additionally, we are also equipped to sustainably produce custom furniture in-house, hereby controlling production expenses, eliminating ever-rising transportation costs, providing local employment and minimizing material waste, all at a significantly reduced cost to our clients. These services were instituted to provide our clients with the hard-to-source, highly customized design services and products they desire.

As a fabricator, Joe Ginsberg continues to develop many proprietary material applications, creating new green formulations and application methods to enhance and refresh, offering classical techniques with our own distinctive design twist.

We recently partnered with an expert in the concrete field, and our joint prowess in design and development enable us to present two new innovative products.  Available for structural and/or decorative usage, these re-formulated, modernized Terrazzo and concrete products are unique in their wide range of applications, coloration and design capabilities.

Eco Friendly Terrazzo flooring - the only 100% sustainable overlay system using curbside glass recyclables, available in an endless color spectrum to suit your design schematic. This polishable overlay system comes with a 20-year warranty. LEED certified.

Award-Winning Lightweight Concrete - the only patented "Green" infrastructure lightweight block and concrete building products appropriate for structural/architectural usage, including Paving and Paneling Systems, Structural Block Systems, Framing, Countertops and more.  Also utilizing curbside recycled glass. This non-water intrusive and fireproof system, recently passed a ballistics test, setting it at a high 7500 psi + rating. LEED certified.

Just as it was our responsibility to improve upon what we've inherited from previous generations, so it is our mandate to consider the future, and hand off a practical formula for establishing a sustainable path forward.
